The Dallas Stars rallied and scored four consecutive goals as they beat the Edmonton Oilers 5-4 in overtime.

Steve Staios and Bill Guerin both got goals in the first as Raffi Torres, Fernando Pisani, Ryan Smyth and Brendan Morrow scored in the second to give the game a score of 4-2 leading into the third period.

It was the goal by Brenden Morrow at 16:56 of the second period that broke the Edmonton Oilers spine in the game. Well not really his goal, but a terrible call by official Brad Watson that set up Morrows goal. The Oilers were upset about a boarding penalty given to Jason Chimera, which then lead to Brenden Morrow's power-play goal.

"The power play at the end of the second turned the momentum around. It was a great hit by Chimera." MacTavish had to say about the situation. "If he didn't finish the hit, we'd have been ticked off at him. It's just a bad call. But we couldn't kill the penalty. You expect your penalty killers to come through in that situation."

The win today pushed the stars unbeaten streak at home against the Oilers to 15 games.

The game wining goal came from a beauty pass from Turgeon from behind the net and Guerin just shot it pass Tommy Salo. "Turgeon has been great behind the net his whole career," Guerin said. "He tells guys to get open and he'll find you and that's exactly what happened."

"We didn't have composure, we started to panic with the puck," Coach MacTavish said. "Two of the goals, guys are open in the slot uncontested in the most dangerous area on the ice."

After today the Oilers will fly home to prepare for a meeting against the Phoenix Coyotes. This game is also the home coming for former Edmonton Oiler Mike Comrie. You can see the game on Sportsnet West at 07:00 PM.
